Our Story

Chris Wild Garden Design
Chris Wild Garden Design

Chris’s passion for horticulture and the outside world started at a very young age, from his adventures and explorations in his Grandad’s rich and bountiful garden as a young boy, to his first part-time job in the plant section of a local garden centre, that would later inspire a career and passion for plants.

Since those early days, Chris has been able to develop his skills and knowledge in the horticultural industry over an 18-year career gaining a wealth of hands-on experience, from maintaining large prestigious estates and gardens, to working on landscaping build projects in smaller urban homes.

Chris’s love of the natural world led to studying for an undergraduate degree in Geology and Geography at The University of Brighton in 2009, graduating in 2011 with a first-class honours degree, followed by a brief brush with the finance industry in the city, he was soon longing for a return to the more natural environment.

With a background in natural sciences and experience working practically in a range of garden build and maintenance projects for many years, Chris was able to develop his natural talent for creativity and design alongside his great enthusiasm for plants and the natural world.

In 2016, he attended the British Academy of Garden Design and gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Garden Design with Distinction.  Based in Tunbridge Wells, Chris now provides high quality bespoke garden design and consultancy services across the South East, working hard to create beautiful spaces with innovate design and solutions for landscapes and outside spaces in all shapes and sizes.

Outside of work, his love of nature and the great outdoors is a continued theme and he loves nothing more than finding a new mountain or ‘Monroe’ to summit, or travelling to exotic climbs with his camera to capture all varieties of wildlife.
